Amy is a 1990 graduate from Minnesota State University/Mankato with a degree in finance and accounting. Following graduation, Amy went to work for St. Paul Fire and Marine as a general liability claims adjuster. In 1993 Amy moved to Sioux Falls to join the family business, Olson and Associates Insurors, Inc. In 2005, Amy earned her Certified Property and Casualty Underwriter designation. In 2007 the name of the agency was changed to The Olson Group and Amy became a part owner of the agency.
In 2009 McKinneyOlson Insurance was formed from the merger of The Olson Group and McKinney and Allen, Inc. and Amy was named as the company President. Amy earned her CIC designation in 2012. Amy works primarily in the commercial lines arena. In addition to her role at the agency, Amy serves on the board of directors for the Independent Insurance Agents of South Dakota.
Amy is married to Brian and they have three boys: Steven, Brandon and Nathan, and one granddaughter; Kora.

Steve began his insurance career in 1995 with Tri-State Insurance (now Continental Western Group) as a loss control representative and commercial underwriter. In 1999 he worked for a local independent agency and purchased Brandon Valley Insurance in 2001. Merged Brandon Valley Insurance with McKinneyAllen & Associates in 2004. In 2008 became Vice President and partner in McKinneyOlson Insurance. Steve specializes in Commercial Insurance.
Steve is married to Nicole and has two children Cade and Clay. His hobbies include fishing, hunting and the occasional golf game.

Bernie has been in the insurance business since 1960. He served as President at McKinney & Allen from 1990-2004. Currently, he is the Chairman of the Board with McKinneyOlson Insurance. Bernie has been involved with many organizations. Past President of the Sioux Falls Chamber of Commerce, Past Chairman of the Sioux Falls Convention Visitors Bureau, pas chairman and still member of the Chamber Ambassadors, served on the Junior Achievement Board of S.D., past Chairman of St. Michael's Cemetery Board of Directors, past Chairman of the Lincoln High School Band, Past President of Sales & Marketing Executives of Sioux Falls, Past member of the Sioux Falls Jaycees, Part President of Downtown Rotary Club, served on the Jaycee Board of Directors in starting the Jaycee Camp for handicapped children and the Girls Club of Sioux Falls. Received the 2017 South Dakota Sales and Marketing Executive of the year. Served as a volunteer for the majority of the community fund drives.

Brenda has earned both her CISR and CIC designations.

Daschle works with business, auto, home, motorcycle, boat and umbrella insurance as well as individual life insurance.

Prior to joining MckinneyOlson, he began his career in the insurance industry with Auto-Owners Insurance in 2011 after having completed the Masters of Business Administration program at the University of South Dakota. Taylor grew up around the insurance industry as his father owned the local agency and managed a farm mutual insurance company in his hometown of Clark, SD. Taylor primarily works with commercial clients.
Taylor resides in Sioux Falls and is active in numerous community organizations. His hobbies include spending time around lakes with family and friends, traveling, and golfing.

During her tenure at CWG she held roles of Processing Supervisor, Regional Reports Analyst, Marketing Rep, Small Commercial Underwriting Team Lead, and Small and Middle Market Underwriting Supervisor.
She holds AINS, AU, AU-M, CIC & CIIP designations and is currently working towards completing her CPCU designation.

Lori started her Insurance career with American States Insurance Company in their Sioux Falls office in 1986. She was a Personal Insurance Underwriter and handled different territories including South Dakota and Nebraska. She was with the company for 10 years until they closed their office in Sioux Falls in 1996.
Lori started to work at McKinneyOlson Insurance in May of 1998. She started out in Personal Lines, and then worked a number of years in claims. Currently, Lori is a Commercial Lines Customer Service Representative. She received her CIC designation in March, 2010.
Outside of the office, Lori and her husband Terry, have three kids, sons Taylor and Blake and daughter Katelyn. All three are currently attending college but are still close to home. Lori enjoys any time she get to spend with her family. She enjoys traveling, reading and planting flowers.

Sam started her insurance career in 2000 at the Hartford in Oklahoma City. She returned to the mid-west to be closer to family and went to work for Continental Western Group in 2002. While at CWG she was a Casualty Claims Representative, a middle-market underwriter and a Small Commercial Accounts Senior Underwriter. She is an insurance nerd holding several designations, including AU-M, CIC, CPCU and SCLA.
Sam made the move to McKinneyOlson Insurance in October of 2018. She is a Commercial Account Executive.

Rita has over 40 years combined company and agency insurance experience. Rita started her insurance career in 1975 with American States Insurance Company and Safeco Insurance underwriting and technology; working closely with agencies in the Midwest. After several years of transferring with the insurance companies to different regions, she and her family decided to move back to South Dakota. She then began her career on the agency side in 2002, working with personal insurance customers and in the claims department for McKinneyOlson Insurance.
Rita is the Claims Associates for the McKinneyOlson Insurance. She understands when a customer calls to report a claim it is a very stressful time. She feels the need to help the client understand the claims process, researching questions the client might have with the claim or coverage. She works closely with the company representatives to make sure the claim is handled in a prompt and efficient manner.
Rita shares her life with her two sons, Michael, of Rapid City, SD and Alex, of St. Paul, MN. She loves animals, but feels two cats are enough to keep her entertained. Rita has various hobbies and is always interested in most anything that involves the outdoors, sports, music and the arts. She loves spending time with family and friends and enjoys cooking for them.
